PDHJ will hand over ten corruption cases to Public Prosecution including alleged corruption in Justice Ministry

Diario Nacionál, April 23, 2010 language source: Tetun - The Timorese Human Rights and Justice Ombudsmen (PDHJ) Sebastiao Dias Ximenes, has said that his department will hand over ten cases of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) to the Public Prosecution to be processed legally.

“We will hand over ten corruption cases cases to Public Prosecution in order to try those corruptors as we have finished investigating these cases,” Ombudsmen Ximenes said.

Ombudsmen Ximenes said that he will continue focusing on corruption cases his department received before the establishment of the anti-corruption commission (KAK).

“One of the ten corruption cases is the case of purchasing uniforms by the Justice Ministry and those cases have been handed over to Public Prosecution and we will hand those cases yet to be investigated to the KAK,” Ombudsmen Ximenes said.
