About East Timor Law and Justice Bulletin
The East Timor Law and Justice Bulletin (ETLJB) is the leading internet site
publishing current news reports from East Timor in English on legal and
political developments in Asia's newest nation. A huge archive of more
than 3300 posts has been accumulated since ETLJB was first launched in
2008 and are now approaching half a million page views since then.
The
main purposes of ETLJB are to aggregate and disseminate news and
information about the law, legal policy and legal issues in East Timor,
to promote awareness of the legal problems in the country and to
provide a research resource for those interested in such matters. We
recommend the use of the customised Google search engine on the home
page to locate posts on particular subjects.
New reports are either written directly by the author or based upon national and international media news reports, civil society law and justice
organisations statements and reports, the United Nations press releases and the Government of East Timor press releases. These legal news reports are are edited for factual accuracy, source of original and authority, grammatical rule compliance, translation accuracy and for legal liability purposes.
New news items are published several times a week and frequently several times a day basis.
